I grew up in the fishing village of Yakutat on the edge of Alaska. Having spent many long days reading in the thick moss that blankets the woods of Southeast I was inspired to take up writing. The power of words on paper felt like magic in the air. Soon I was working tirelessly to create my own style while learning the tools of the trade.

In 2013 I found myself in Anchorage pursuing a degree in painting which consumed most of my creative output for the next few years. However, writing remained a tool I would use to express emotions and heal along the way.

After several years in the work force I quit my desk job and moved to the lower 48, ready to explore the country I call home. With this change poetry became a main focus creatively once again. The words started to flow and have not ceased since.

Please enjoy this blog sharing many of my deepest emotions and pieces inspired by this incredible world we all share.
